The Republic Day special Lalbagh Flower Show pays floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda. The Nation will be celebrating the 157th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Chief Minister of Karnataka, B.S. Yeddiyurappa inaugurated the 211th Lalbagh flower show on 17th January 2020. The Glasshouse at Lalbagh, which is the main center of flower show will have a floral replica of Swami Vivekananda Memorial of Kanyakumari.The glass house will also have a 19feet tall statue of Swami Vivekanands. Other Major attractions inside the Glass House will be a floral model of Memorial Hall of Chicago and Vivek Kuteera. A statue of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa (Vivekananda's Teacher) and Sarada Devi will also be put up in the Lalbagh Flower Show.
Stories related Swami Vivekanands are depicted using Sunflower inside the Glass House. 92 different varieties of flowers are brought from countries like Brazil, Thailand and Argentina for the flower show.
